How Can We Help You Get There?
Our discipline structure includes all aspects of performance and welcomes students at all levels to explore the arts through classroom learning and co-curricular activities.
Our MUSIC curriculum offers foundation courses and electives in performance, music production, composition, and music history and theory. Our program includes six performing organizations: four instrumental and two choral ensembles.
Our DANCE program offers a challenging curriculum designed to facilitate growth and exploration levels appropriate to students' experience. Students develop leadership, communication, confidence, discipline, problem-solving, collaboration, and cultural appreciation.
Whether in acting, directing, stage management, or theatrical design, there are many opportunities to be involved in THEATRE . Students develop vivid self awareness and a comprehensive process for creating stageworthy theatre.
The Performing Arts are a vital and visible part of life at Lawrenceville. Just walking around the Bowl, you can almost always hear music — whether it's coming from inside Kirby Arts Center, the Chapel, or students singing as they walk (or jog!) together. The arts bring us together on a deeply personal level to speak our truths, learn from each other, grow as a community, and make memories.
Lawrenceville's Performing Arts department is an inviting and inclusive program. Our choices — in the selections we perform, the opportunities we highlight, and the languages we speak — are an expression of the values of our community. Our performances are not just a proving ground for our students' abilities, but another extension of the Harkness table: to explore innovative methods, seek out new perspectives, and reach new levels of awareness and understanding.

Our Mission
Our faculty are here to provide mentorship and guidance and to help each student develop as a scholar, athlete, artist, and citizen.
Through House and Harkness, Lawrenceville challenges a diverse community of promising young people to lead lives of learning, integrity, and high purpose. Our mission is to inspire the best in each to seek the best for all.

Our
Campus
The Lawrenceville School sits on more than 700 acres in suburban New Jersey — a quick trip from Princeton, New York City, and Philadelphia. Woods, farmland, and a lovely downtown area surround Lawrenceville's brick buildings. The School balances tradition and technology as a home and learning environment. We have two Performing Arts centers that include beautiful performance venues, practice rooms, and community spaces.
